Expo 2020 Dubai – Have a look back to it

The Global Expo 2020, which was scheduled to take place in Dubai from October 20, 2020, to April 10, 2021, was one of the most anticipated events in the world. It was expected to bring together more than 190 participating countries, millions of visitors, and thousands of businesses to explore, collaborate and showcase their innovations, ideas, and solutions for a better future.

However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was postponed for a year, and it finally opened its doors to the public on October 1, 2021, under the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.”

The Expo site, which covers an area of 438 hectares, is located in the Dubai South district, near Al Maktoum International Airport. It features pavilions from various countries, each showcasing their culture, traditions, and achievements. The site also includes a range of attractions, such as art installations, live performances, food and beverage outlets, and interactive exhibits.

The Expo’s main pavilion, called “Terra,” is the largest and most impressive structure on the site. It features an innovative design that resembles a giant falcon in flight, with wings that extend over the entrance plaza. The pavilion houses a range of exhibits and displays that showcase the Expo’s subthemes of sustainability, mobility, and opportunity.

The Expo is expected to attract around 25 million visitors from all over the world during its six-month run, making it one of the largest global events ever held. It is also expected to generate billions of dollars in economic benefits for Dubai and the UAE, as it creates new business opportunities, promotes tourism, and drives innovation and creativity.

In summary, the Global Expo 2020 was one of the most anticipated events in the world, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and finally opened in Dubai in October 2021. The event is expected to attract millions of visitors, promote innovation and creativity, and generate billions of dollars in economic benefits for the region.
